As was expected, a recent report states that the death of pop legend Prince was due to a drug overdose. Many times we forget that prescription drugs pose just as big a danger as illegal drugs. In fact, more Americans die from prescription drug abuse/overdose than cocaine, hallucinogens, inhalants and heroine combined.

When asked about abstinence, today's teens would say "oh that is so old fashioned". But abstinence is more than and old fashioned idea. It's a way of life that teaches self control and self worth. We teach in the classroom that it is the healthiest choice in preventing an unplanned pregnancy or an STD.
