Did you know that the word amuse literally means "without thought"? That's right, when we watch something and are amused by it we turn off our brain. Often when we engage in media, we disengage our thought process.

We certainly don't expect you to stop engaging in media. In fact that would be practically impossible in the world we live in today where we are bombarded by media every direction we look.

What we do expect is that you understand the impact that media has on you and that you learn to think critically while engaging in media. It is important to make choices about what you watch, because after that you don't have a choice about how it will influence you.
