Let’s clear the air. I love Chick-fil-A. In fact, I may have faked a few pregnancy cravings the first time around so my husband would drive the 45 minutes to the closet location (by the third child, he had figured me out, and I had to find suitable alternatives).

I know I talk about media frequently.  And sometimes, I feel like people are probably tired of hearing about it, especially from me.  However, I can’t let this one slide by. A few weeks ago, I tuned in to Fox one Thursday night.  I’m not much of a primetime TV viewer (unless it’s sports).

Just a few weeks ago, I wrote about the new MTV show Buckwild.  I wrote about the bad choices that are highlighted throughout the show. And, about the seeming lack of consequences. Earlier this month, the carefree façade came crashing down. On April 1st, after being reported missing, Buckwild breakout star Shain Gandee was found dead.

  Jersey Shore is over.  The only thing left are a few references to Snooki and the Situation in his “situation.” I can’t say I’ve ever actually watched an episode of Jersey Shore.  I don’t know the characters.  I can guess the storyline.

I attended Rhea County High School. I'm a Rhea County Golden Eagle. And when I go back to teach there and tell the students that I've been where they are, I mean it. Well, except for the last time I was there. We didn't have our own classroom, so we met in the boys locker room.
